As an Illustrator, I can’t use OpenCanvas 7 anymore.   Two years. That’s almost how long it has been since OpenCanvas 7 received an update.   The last update it got was on October 15th, 2019. That is insane. No software should be going that long without an update. And it’s a program that desperately needs features and bug fixes to keep up with its much more well-equipped competition.   I have been dealing with the same bugs, if not more since I made my review on OpenCanvas 7 three years ago.   Workspaces not working correctly, one time a file got corrupted and I lost all of my work on a commission, and constant crashing and freezing within the program. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻   And where is the English Support Forums that they’ve apparently been working on since forever? I would say the most significant thing for OpenCanvas 7 that…

It has its highs and lows.   I was honestly not sure how to rate this. On one hand, the player is treated to a quite a boring story, however, the characters and voice acting redeemed it so much that it’s hard to give the visual novel a bad score, or just flat out not like it for that matter.   This review is mostly spoiler-free. There is one spoiler, but I’ve highlighted it so you can avoid it.    Loves/Hates: Lovable Characters Emotional Gorgeous artwork/illustrations Amazing voice acting Uninteresting story Feels padded with filler Cliche   Story Highway Blossoms is a kinetic romance visual novel featuring two characters, Amber and Marina, who meet each other in the desert after Marina gets stuck there. But Marina isn’t there for any reason, she’s there because she’s on this hunt to find treasure buried by someone, and she’s not the only one…

The consumer benefits, but will it be worth it?   Last week, the news broke that the High Court of Paris ruled that Valve has to allow European customers to freely resell the digital games they bought on the Steam store, a benefit that is usually exclusive to physical media. The ruling is a result of the European Union Law for digital goods stipulating that they can be resold without the original seller’s permission.   Of course, Valve wasn’t going to just kneel over and agree with it, so they have predictably appealed the decision. The court is giving Valve three months to get their terms of service to comply with European law.   “We disagree with the decision of the Paris Court of First Instance and will appeal it,” a Valve spokesperson told Polygon in an emailed statement. “The decision will have no effect on Steam while the case…

Oof, but that file size though ( ̄ ̄|||).     After game developer Bungie celebrated splitting ways with Activision, they were able to procure the Destiny IP and have now taken to essentially ‘re-publish’ the game on their own terms on the Steam PC gaming platform. This is something that was much needed after Destiny 2’s tumultuous post-launch with the whole XP throttling controversy back in 2017.   Now going forward this means that those who were originally playing on the Battle.net game launcher, where Activision Blizzard’s top games reside, are going to be moving their game data over to Steam via the Bungie.net website. If you haven’t, you should read up on the whole process on Bungie’s website before the game launches next week on October 1st.   Bungie has reassured to making the migration as easy as possible. I can confirm that it was pretty painless considering that I…
