Blossoms Bloom Brightest I’m not sure what to think. The story/writing of the visual novel is pretty average. Not bad, but not good either. If I had to find a word for it, I would say that it was just “fine”. Three girls end up on a spaceship and must now spend their lives together. You learn about them more as you progress the story, but it also doesn’t really get into too much background detail about everything and seems to be more focused on getting with either girl. I do have a bit of a problem with there only being two romance options and both of them not being really likeable. Kotoha (the youngest) feels too much like a child so it feels really weird having a relationship with her. Sara tries a bit too hard to be a jerk… Spoiler Warning: Sara’s backstory …and I don’t think that…
VN Reviews: “Once On A Windswept Night”, “Once Upon an All Hallow’s Eve” and “Written in the Sky”.
Once On A Windswept Night Patience well rewarded. Warning: If you hate visual novels that make you repeat a story over and over again until you get the “best” ending, you may want to avoid this. Midway through playing it I was adamant on giving this visual novel a negative review, until I reach the true/best ending. It was so emotional that it actual made me tear up, maybe because I can relate to it a bit too much. It was beautiful, yet the question must be asked: Was worth the grind? Yes, but I can also understand why someone would want to quit playing half way through. The general story and lore isn’t interesting at all until you finally understand how to progress the story. Repeating the visual novel multiple times can get really frustrating and the game doesn’t hesitate to throw bad endings your way. It’s not like…

Amnesia™: Memories This made me want to be gay (oh wait…already am). Amnesia™: Memories does a lot right but its main focus falls woefully short, and of course, I’m talking about the guys. Let me start off by saying Amnesia™: Memories pretty much does everything else right. The art style is incredibly gorgeous and makes the guys look uber attractive. Even the girls in this game are super attractive to the point that it’s really disappointing that they are no female romance options. The story is pretty decent, but I can’t really say much about it since I didn’t play it all the way through, but it did intrigue me enough to grab my attention. Not much else to say for this visual novel as the music was pretty okay. Nothing special. And now to get down to what I really dislike about this game. I have never seen an…
VN Reviews: “Seduce Me the Otome” and “Valentine Panic” (Michaela Laws) .
Seduce Me the Otome. English voice acting in a visual novel? Yes please! Seduce Me the Otome made me want to cry, but not for the reasons you would think. I found it really charming and I loved it so much that I would usually stop playing it just because of how giddy it made me feel inside. Before I get to the story I really want to commend that the visual novel was voice acted, something you don’t really see often in western visual novels, much less one that is free. I found out that this was crowdfunded, which makes sense, but it’s still very admirable considering the voice actors did a pretty good job. It’s not “top notch”, but it’s nowhere as “cringy” as the voice acting in some anime dubs. As someone who has grown up playing visual novels that were only voiced in Japanese, it’s fantastic…
