Humble Choice: Why I Can’t Support Humble Bundle Anymore.
The result of IGN’s 2017 acquisition starts to show. Yesterday, Humble Bundle announced that they’re converting their Humble Monthly subscription programme to Humble Choice. Humble Monthly traditionally worked like a loot crate. It gave you a bunch of mystery games for a reoccurring subscription fee but showcasing and giving you at least one major game to play right away for that month. The rest of the games would be locked until they are revealed after the last day of being able to sign up for a month’s respective bundle. Now, Humble Bundle is doing away with the original, straight-forward subscription plan and has now given us four tiers of Humble Monthly…oh, wait, I mean Humble “Choice”. (눈_눈) Thus adding confusion to what was initially a simple subscription process. Benefits? Well, honestly…there’s next to none. One of the new “benefits” of Humble Choice is…
Call of Duty Modern Warfare Creates Its First Backlash With Exclusivity.
Well…that didn’t take long. Despite the positive reception that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the series’ reboot, was accumulating thanks to a successful beta, Activision decided to chuck all of that goodwill out of the window with an exclusivity deal with Sony. What this means is that Xbox and PC gamers are going to be missing out on content for an entire year, whereas Playstation players will have the benefit of playing the mode. Oh, but it gets better. Hang onto your seat belts. The Special Ops’ Survival mode seems to have been a feature that has been quite dormant for…
You Can Pre-Load ‘Destiny 2’ Right Now On Steam For Next Week.
Oof, but that file size though ( ̄ ̄|||). After game developer Bungie celebrated splitting ways with Activision, they were able to procure the Destiny IP and have now taken to essentially ‘re-publish’ the game on their own terms on the Steam PC gaming platform. This is something that was much needed after Destiny 2’s tumultuous post-launch with the whole XP throttling controversy back in 2017. Now going forward this means that those who were originally playing on the Battle.net game launcher, where Activision Blizzard’s top games reside, are going to be moving their game data over to Steam via the Bungie.net website. If you haven’t, you should read up on the whole process on Bungie’s website before the game launches next week on October 1st. Bungie has reassured to making the migration as easy as possible. I can confirm that it was pretty painless considering that I…
